Hello peninsula folk,
The high school where I teach is putting together a career day next wednesday, 3/28 between 1 & 2:30. We need about 40 people & only have about 22 right now. If anyone is feeling philanthropic & would like to come talk about your career with some high school freshmen and seniors, let me know! Basically, it involves sitting on a panel for and hour & answering their questions about your job. The areas where the kids have specifically expressed interest and where we're still short are:
Medical (we need some nurses)
Education
Law enforcement
Technology
Entrepreneurs/ Small business
Philanthropists/ non-profits
Engineering
Construction
Media (publishing, journalism, television)
Health and Fitness
Creative Arts
