I Need A Doctor

topic posted Tue, November 7, 2006 - 7:03 AM by
I should post this in the request section, but let's face it, no one posts there or reads anything there.

I am looking for an excellent physician, preferably female, in the San Mateo area. I am hoping to find someone who is not overloaded with patients, and will take payment up front.
My preference also is to be treated like a human and not like a number.

I did end up finding a specialist who is awesome. I would still like to find a general practitioner, M.D. I am sure I will find someone in time.

While I doubt he does a huge amount of ObGyn work, Russo does have
a lot of female patients. He's not young, but looks ok, not a large man,
        and is healthy... smiles. etc.

If he isn't yer guy, he'd be a good one to ask for a gal doc. And I'm sorta fussy.
(Again, understatement.)I got him via Blue Shield.

"You are beautiful and any doctor would be lucky to have you."

do doctors care that much how attractive you are?

I don't think I'd want a doctor who only wanted to treat beautiful people.

I have a huge fear of doctors, and so I know I'm a tough patient, but I started going to one last year and she is pretty amazing. Here is her info:

    Dr. Linda Pope
    1720 El Camino Real #130
    Burlingame
    650-692-0977

She is an internal medicine doc. She is also fat friendly, queer friendly, and SM friendly. I don't know about the overloaded with patients part though.

I keep bumping in to you...

    Anthony Russo...
    Pulmonary
    Internal Medicine
    Preventative Medicine.

    17560 El Camino Real,
    Burlingame, CA 94010
    Suite 301

Sorry he's not a gal. (Wouldn't mind a gal doc myself. But, that's a guy thing.)
I'm semi-intelligent, ('English understatement') and find his approach and
thoroughness quite refreshing... takes time to ask & explain.
He has a bit of a thing for vitamins.

Sure helped my blood pressure fast. I was a 4 min miler (ages ago) and when it
(my BP) went bad, (divorce stresses) he fixed it readily. I didn't have a doc for a
long long time. I get mistaken for one sometimes. Chose him by area and he was
the type of HMO GP I needed.
